"Capital hasn't disappeared - it's become more selective: A practical checklist for raising in 2026"
|
Over the
past year, the most noticeable shift in private capital markets hasn’t been the
disappearance of capital — it has been the tightening of decision standards.
In our March update we put it simply: capital hasn’t disappeared — it’s
become more selective.
This
matters because many businesses still approach capital raising as if a
compelling vision alone will carry the process. In today’s market, investors
tend to lean in when the opportunity is framed with clarity, evidence, and a
credible plan — and they step back quickly when any of those elements are
missing.
As we noted previously, investors are not saying no because funding is
unavailable; they are saying no when the investment thesis isn’t clear,
the valuation isn’t aligned, or the execution plan lacks credibility.
The good
news: This is fixable. Below is a practical checklist you can use to pressure‑test
readiness before you go to market.

|
- Can you explain the opportunity in a simple, defensible thesis?
- Are the financials robust and assumptions credible?
- Does the capital structure and use of funds make sense?
- Is there an execution plan with milestones and accountability?
When those pieces are present, even cautious investors will engage — because you’ve reduced uncertainty. When they aren’t, the process becomes slow, expensive, and often inconclusive.

Cancer Survivorship after Radiation treatment - A Patient Guide
|
We are sharing the Soft-Tissue Radiation Injury (STRI) patient information from Wesley Hyperbaric (Project Pressure) to highlight a critical, often-overlooked medical pathway: Healing Support after Radiotherapy.
|
|
|
|
Life-saving radiotherapy can lead to "late-effect" tissue damage (such as chronic pain or bleeding) months or years after treatment ends. Wesley Hyperbaric, a licensed and accredited day hospital in Brisbane, specialises in repairing this damage.
Fully Funded: For many radiation-related injuries, treatment is supported by Medicare and private health insurance, resulting in little to no out-of-pocket costs.
If you or a family member is navigating the side effects of past treatment, please click the button below to download the patient guide for more information. Alternatively, please visit Wesley Hyperbaric's website here or contact us for more information.

Project Pressure is a specialised private day hospital delivering medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and comprehensive wound care for conditions such as diabetic ulcers, hypoxic wounds, radiation-related tissue injuries, and complex non-healing wounds.
Established in 1998, the organisation has delivered more than 90,000 hyperbaric treatments across 20,000 chamber compressions, supported by hyperbaric-trained doctors and nurses in attendance at all times. Over its 26 years of operation, it has become one of Australia’s most experienced hyperbaric providers.

Indices–calculated index,
which underpins its systematic strategy, has consistently outperformed on both
income and total return over
5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, and 25-year periods of validated history."
